ERP Consultant - Navision

Description:
Blackfin has an immediate need for experienced ERP consultants in our Navision practice. Our preference is consultants with either a manufacturing or finance focus.
As a Business Analyst you will configure MBS Navision for our customers, with a primary focus on module/s related to your area/s of expertise. You will solve problems using your knowledge of related business processes, and how those processes are performed using MBS Navision software. Participate in identifying software gaps and writing development specifications. Execute assigned tasks within a structured project environment. Interface with customers – managing expectations and resolving issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years recent consulting experience implementing ERP software solutions
- 1+ years MBS Navision experience a plus
- Experience with either finance or manufacturing preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- Microsoft certification a plus
- Relevant industry experience a plus

- Demonstrate the ability to help manage quality and customer satisfaction for a specific project area and to help ensure solution meets customer requirements

Both full time salaried positions and hourly contract work are available. All positions involve working to develop solutions, system requirements and specifications on a wide variety of projects for Blackfin’s clients.
This position is in Boise, ID—the only city in the US that Fortune Magazine rates as one of the top 5 places to do business and one of the top 10 places to live. Relocation assistance provided.
Primary job functions include:
- Development and maintenance of large-scale and enterprise-level production applications
- Design, implement and support applications and tools used for content management, dynamic publishing, and electronic commerce
- Assessing business rules, performing logical and physical data modeling, implementing physical database objects, and managing data
- SQL coding including developing optimized stored procedures, views and triggers to solve complex problems
- Provide technical recommendations and documentation as well as evaluating new technologies
Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or related field
OR
2+ years work experience in web application development with hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
- Object-oriented applications development
- Relational database (Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.), design, performance tuning, optimization and data-modeling
- XML and other data translation technologies
- Web applications development, and knowledge of standards and related issues
- ASP, .NET framework, ASP.NET, C#, MS SQL, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript development
- Java, Java Servlets, JSP, SQL, JDBC programming
Candidates must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in an interactive team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

- Ability to develop custom WebParts
- Ability to setup Sharepoint independently
- 2 years+ experience with OOD and at least one of the following: Java, ASP .NET/C#, or PHP
- Experience with markup languages (e.g., XHTML, HTML, and XML)
SQL Server
- Experience/ Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment where technology has a direct impact on business
- Experience/Desire to work closely with technical and non-technical people
- Evaluate a project and be able to envision, design and build an innovative technical solution
