Employees will be responsible for working with our clients on a number of different projects.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2 + years of full-time industry experience developing Object oriented applications using .Net technologies
  • Working experience a combination of the following; .Net Framework, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, AJAX, JavaScript, WPF, WCF, etc.
  • Experience with relational database development using MS SQL server, stored procedures and competencies in data modeling and database design
  • Demonstrated mastery of the full software development lifecycle including: gathering requirements, creating designs, implementing code, performing integration, writing documentation, testing applications, reviewing code, deployment, and maintenance/support.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software. Responsibilities will include development of enhancements and maintenance to C#, .Net internal applications, often including gathering requirements, meeting with end users, designing a prototype and presenting the design, developing the accepted design, thoroughly testing the enhancement and aiding in implementing the enhancement.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document newly written programs General Qualifications: • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and able to work under stressful conditions. • Must be enthusiastic, communicative and eager to learn.
  • Must be self-motivated, have the ability to work alone as well as in a team, to strict timelines. Versatility in handling multiple projects and re-prioritizations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Motivated individual with proven track record of on-time delivery
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

Sharepoint Engineer

We seek to add talented, motivated people to our team and have multiple open positions for talented programmers and software engineers.

Both full time salaried positions and hourly contract work are available. All positions involve working to develop solutions, system requirements and specifications on a wide variety of projects for Blackfin’s clients.

This position is in Boise, ID—the only city in the US that Fortune Magazine rates as one of the top 5 places to do business and one of the top 10 places to live. Relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications:

We seek bright people at all levels of experience who are motivated to succeed and possess some or all of the following attributes:

  • 1 years+ experience with Windows Sharepoint Services and Windows Sharepoint Portal Server
  • Ability to develop custom WebParts
  • Ability to setup Sharepoint independently
  • 2 years+ experience with OOD and at least one of the following: Java, ASP .NET/C#, or PHP
  • Experience with markup languages (e.g., XHTML, HTML, and XML)
    SQL Server
  • Experience/ Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment where technology has a direct impact on business
  • Experience/Desire to work closely with technical and non-technical people
  • Evaluate a project and be able to envision, design and build an innovative technical solution
  • Ability to work in a team-based development environment using various development tools and source control systems (nUnit, CruiseControl, CodeSmith, SourceGear Vault, etc.)

All candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in software development.

Business Intelligence Developer

  • Advanced data warehousing, Analysis Services, development of cubes, and complex report building
  • Maintain and build upon the cube that is in place
  • Enhance the cube that is currently being used
  • Develop reports using SharePoint 2010, Excel, and Excel Services
  • Develop interactive dashboards
  • Develop ETL processes to gather data from disparate sources
  • Respond to new report requests by building out new features
  • Streamline the process and improve the overall delivery of what is currently being utilized
  • Help deliver a solution that is more maintainable throughout the organization with less manual labor (if possible)
  • Minimum 3 years with Microsoft Analytic Services (SSAS) and Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Minimum 3 years experience with MDX including complex results with Excel and Excel Services
  • Minimum of 1 year experience reporting with Sharepoint and Excel Services
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Release 2
  • Advanced skills with Excel including pivot tables, filters, graphing and use of Excel MDX functions
  • Experience with PowerPivot considered a plus. If no experience with PowerPivot, must learn it during the initial months
  • Good communication skills
  • Good team work skills (collaboration)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under tight timelines for delivery
