Founded in 2018, Hawk AI’s product offering is a hybrid platform enabling compliance officers at regulated entities (payment institutions and banks) to be more efficient in detecting money laundering cases and filing them with the regulator. The platform is entirely cloud-based and can be deployed in a matter of days for fintech clients up to within a month for larger clients.
The platform itself includes:
• Business rules already being used by compliance officers (sometimes complemented by Hawk)
• Artificial Intelligence algorithms that both detect new money laundering patterns uncovered by existing rules and drive down false positives so that compliance officers are not diverted from the real cases.
• An automated workflow management tool supporting compliance officers in establishing more efficiently Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) which need to be filed with the regulator.
